I had a brilliant day out in London yesterday with Pip, taking in the superb 'Magnum 62' exhibition at Chris Beetles, then on to Covent Garden and the surrounding area. I'm still loving the X100 and really can't fault it to be honest, apart from it being possible to put the battery in the wrong way round. Image quality is just stunning and for most of the day I just left it on f8. I hope you like the photo, please leave a comment if you do.

Audience of 1 at Speaker's Corner

Sunday was my first visit to Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park and highly entertaining it was too. This guy had an audience of 1 looking straight at him, while a secondary audience were futher back looking at the pair of them and chuckling. There were plenty more opportunities to see all manner of people proclaiming their thoughts loudly to the world, whether they were being listened to or not. I shall certainly be returning soon.

Catching rays

Another shot from last Saturday in a very sunny London. The light was very pleasing and I was lucky to grab this shot considering the leisurely autofocus on the E-PL2 and 20mm combination. Although I got some pleasing shots that day it also made me realise that my year long experiment with micro 4/3 was about to end. I've proved to myself I'm happy using a prime lens so the Fuji X100 just makes more sense for me.

Taken yesterday during a long, long walk around the West End. I was initially pleased with this shot for no obvious reason, but then the size of the people really caught my imagination and the more I look at it the more I like it.

Sunday was a day of glorious light in London and I really love this shot. I'm not afraid to crop a shot to make it sing and this was such an occasion.

St. Omer in France, which had a feel of Brugges about it somehow. I can't remember what they were looking at but it must have been interesting to them.

I took this in Dymchurch a while back as part of our exhibition project 'Wish You Were Here'. Some good fashions on display here and once we'd made the final selection for our exhibition it became apparent that pop socks were the must-have garment for women of a certain age last year.
